The Edda

The Edda is a book written a long time a go by a Norse man called Snorri Sturluson. It is filled with saga’s and poems. Saga’s are the Norse word for ‘tales’.
I came across the description of this interesting book whilest doing my school work, geography. At the moment I am learning about Iceland.
Here is one poem from the book:

The rough storm has robbed me
Of my best riches, It’s cruel to recall
The loss of that kinsman,
The safeguard, the shield
Of the house has sailed
Out in the death’s darkness
To a dearer place.

So, I googled it and found this website all about it! I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. This is a VERY safe website.
