God has everyone in His hands, He is the LORD of all creation, the everlasting Father, and our Elohim.  To be saved you do not have to please God and do great wonders in His name, for even those deeds are from Him, we are mere dolls in our Fathers hands.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8: 34-36 NIV.

The only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came to earth to die as a sacrifice for our sins. He does everything through us and not on our own thoughts, wants, or desires.

It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. – Romans 9:16 NIV

Mercy and grace are all that is needed for God to accept you into His family. He had mercy and grace in an out stretched hands to us, but even reaching out to receive everlasting life is His Will. The Saviour has died in place of us, we cannot do anything to work for our salvation and seat in Gods everlasting realm.

One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. – Acts 16:14

You see the Lord is in control of everything, He is after all LORD over the entire EVERYTHING!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:8-10

To be saved, all that you need to do is to ask the Lord Jesus into our hearts to live for eternity and save you from the devil. He will wash over you His grace and mercy and you be commanded to sin no more. Good works that Christians do is God working through them, it has nothing to do with their faith, we are all on different roads, some people might seem closer to God, but in reality they are on a different path to you, and they will go through trials in a different order from yours, we are all one in Christ Jesus!
